What Is Nylon Taslan (ATY) Fabric?

Taslan is made from air-textured yarn (ATY), giving nylon a more textured, matte appearance and a comfortable “cotton-like” touch compared to standard filament fabrics. It’s widely used in outerwear because it balances durability, hand feel, and compatibility with functional finishing systems.

Performance Finishing Options (Built for Your Requirements)

Choose the finishing route based on your performance target and cost structure:

  • DWR (Water Repellent) – improves water resistance for outer shells

  • PU Coating (Milky / Clear) – waterproof build options for rainwear

  • Breathable PU Membrane / PU Printing Membrane – balanced waterproof & breathability solutions

  • TPU Membrane 3-Layer (Face + Membrane + Tricot) – premium shell structure for higher-end outdoor use

  • Optional (upon request): anti-static, downproof, peach finish, coating color customization, etc.

Note: Waterproof/breathability values and wash durability depend on the system design and test standard. We can develop based on your required method (AATCC / ISO / customer protocol).

Sampling & Production Workflow

  1. Requirement confirmation (construction / GSM / finish / color / testing)

  2. Lab dip / color approval (if needed)

  3. Sample yardage for testing & sewing evaluation

  4. Bulk production with in-line inspection

  5. Final QC + packing + shipment (EXW/FOB/CIF upon request)

FAQ

Q1: Is Taslan waterproof by itself?
Taslan base fabric is not waterproof by default. Waterproof performance comes from coatings or membrane/lamination systems.

Q2: Can you produce breathable waterproof Taslan for shell jackets?
Yes. Breathable membrane and 3-layer lamination options are available. Share your target performance and cost level for recommendation.

Q3: How do I choose between PU coating and 3-layer lamination?
PU coating is more cost-effective for rainwear. 3-layer lamination is typically chosen for higher-end shells requiring better structure and balanced performance.

Q4: Can you match colors by Pantone or Lab values?
Yes. We can match by Pantone code, Lab values, or physical swatch.

Q5: What is your MOQ?
MOQ depends on construction, finish system, and color. Send your spec and we’ll confirm the workable MOQ, lead time, and price.

Q6: Can I get sample yardage before bulk order?
Yes. Sample yardage is available for testing and sewing evaluation.
